I did my hgv with this unorganized bunch of ballons,(i passed) the eagerness of one or two who work for them for me to sign on the dotted line was quite pressuring, the promise of employment at the end of my course was all rubbish, i am still waiting for a phone call of them, never mind a job.
quick to take your money, slow to do anything else.
oh, and once you have paid you cant get them to answer the your calls never mind returning them.

Direct LGV are indeed "a bunch of scammers". I had the misfortune to come across them while searching for an HGV course for my son in October 2008. Over several days I received many phone calls from 'ADAM', a sales rep'. Unfortunately he convinced me to sign on with them after offering a discount of £100 on their list price. I paid £1099. Then 'STEFAN' phoned me to try and sell 'Pass Protection Insurance' for £399. This 'insurance' covered the cost of TWO re-tests should it be needed. Eventually I agreed when he offered it at £299.
They were incompetant from the start ... sending stuff to me and not my son and doing everything EXTREMELY SLOWLY. My son evetually took the training course and failed the test. He got a re-test after considerable delay and unfortunately failed that as well. Direct LGV then refused point blank to arrange the second re-test (as per the Pass Protection Insurance), coming up with "you should have DOUBLE Pass Protection on your invoice" and "Your invoice doesn't show Pass Protection X 2".
I am currently seeking a refund via my credit card company.
My advice is to AVOID at all costs.

i book with them on feb 2009 2469 pounds ,sold me a lot i had my training on 8 june suppose to be 1 week, sent my eastrn lgv with an instructor called paul ,very unpolite tired ,it has been 1 month and 1 week my training hasnt finish and the joke is he phoned me and lied told me you got the test when training need 3 hours to finish hasn show me the function such as fog lights emergency break joke men a lot of money do not use them please waiting for refund from credit card
Hi my names steve i did my class c and c+e passed first time on c the failed c+e luckily i had a passprotection and i passed wihout having to pay anymore money, i was then offered interviews and went to for which i was offered good wages, the wages my training co ordinator told me! i got a job and am actually earning around 500 a week! believe me i was shocked, but it happened!so i payed around 2500 and im clearing 2000 every month, im happy with the return on my investment. There are a few bad reviews here, and people only tend to share bad experiences, so i thought id tell you of my happy experience. Anyway thats my story good luck to all

what a bunch of stealing cowboys , took my full balance although only deposit authorised. then when tried to call them no one knows who i am , give my ref number and brings up someone elses name and address. then told me dvla have no record of me, i call dvla and they find me strait away. basically took my money without consent and now cant even book the course ,or get refund. say call back with dates and never do. how is it possible they can go on stealing and messing up peoples lives like this. trading standards are on to them big time . dont go anywhere near this lot .

i gave lgv direct a call on 08000305162 they told me 1 months corse i dont have to pay £1100 at once u can wait till your test so i pay them £350 and every 2nd day they call me for payments and when i pay them full they give u really poor and slow service it took me 2 months to get a theory test booked they dont wana know you they give u good deals and later on they say we are sorry we dont do it u was misinformed b4 i paid them a girl call SIRA was polite and sweet talking on fone and when i call them about my pratical traing test they are like we are sorry we still waiting for dates to b confirmed dis is our busy period we will call you and hang up and they never call 1 cheeky cu*ts on phone when i ask my refund im not happy they like you have 2 write in and then we read it and decide if u can get a refund to me i dont think i will get my money back its been nearly 5 months

hello people im billy cunningham, looks like im one of the few, (on here anyway) along with steve happy with direct lgv! right well i did a "back to back" i think as they call it with adr. I booked in august and have recently completed all. i am now in contact with ann, my coordinator who touched base wiv me pretty much every week. so theyve proved themselves on the training front, now i hope im as lucky as steve on the job front! will keep you all updated.

I can't help wondering how much Direct LGV are paying 'steve' and 'billy' ... or maybe they are just pseudonyms for a couple of the complete tossers that I ended up dealing with on the phone .... possibly 'Adam', 'Stefan' or 'Michelle'. You can't help wondering why someone who was genuinly satisfied would even bother looking on on the webb - let alone writing a blog!
As an update of my previous entry the good news is that I got a refund of £299 from my credit card company for the 'Pass Protection' insurance that I bought that Direct LGV refused to honour.
I recommend anyone to pursue their credit card company to get a refund ... my card company refused at first but I persevered and they eventually gave me the money back!!

hi guys looks like we all on same boat i was told i can pay for course (£1200) in small amounts aslong i pay within final payment before six weeks and i sighned up with 200 pounds few days later i got calls from them asking when will i pay next payment i ask how much should i pay they say £1000 i was shocked i ask em what happend with small payments aslong i pay in full within six weeks she say well we got special pormotion on this week you pay full amount in a week we knock £100 when i say i cant and than she say what about £200 i was like mmm ok so i pay full amount £800 more and next day i get a call saying i still owe them £200 when i ask about the pormotion they like what pormotion you talking about i clicked on something not right so i tell em i dont trust your company and i want my payment back they say its not refundable and they hang up saying im wasting their time untill i got my dad (hes a lawyer) to talk over the fon for me and got trading standard involved and luky i got my money back after 2 months

phil hughes here guys! i had the same situation as jhon paid a deposit of £100, BUT WITH A POSOTIVE OUTCOME, i was told to pay full as soon as poss to speed up the things. id love to slate them too but i managed to pay the whole amount within 2 months and finished my course of pcv with cpc and am done now. i definetly want to thank them, and did personally for helping me get on with my career so quickly so thanks directlgv!

Hi guys, I am a training provider in South Wales, Big Wheelers. I understand what you are saying as in the past we had the misfortune to train a new driver who had paid "Clearstone" for LGV C training. At the time my office staff just assumed they were a "normal" company who needed to up-grade one of their drivers..... WRONG! Within 2 days of training the guys in the cab started talking to each other and it soon became apparent that the guy who had been referred to us via Clearstone was having to travel over 50 miles every day, and also had paid over £350.00 more to Clearstone for the privilege! Needless to say he was not happy, caused me lots of problems, fortunately he passed with us 1st time (but had already paid Clearstone extra for pass protection). Needless to say we never entertained Clearstone again. More recently we have been approached by Fresh Logic, similar in my view to Direct LGV. We have firmly closed our doors on the brokers as you the customer are paying a lot of money up front for a service you can obtain from a local provider at a much reduced cost. I have been a qualified HGV / LGV instructor since 1987 and the best honest, independent advice I can give is, make a short list of 2 or 3 local companies, visit their office, drive their vehicles (most schools give you 1 hour for free) and check their instructor qualifications. Qualified DSA LGV Instructors consistently achieve better pass rates than some of the x-truck drivers (who can instruct if they hold a licence for 3 years) who just want to return to a 9 to 5 job. Having checked for "real staff in an office", then "real trucks in a yard" and "real qualified LGV instructors" then and only than pay a deposit (normally the cost of the practical test fee - currently £115.00). hi guys i use to worked with direct lgv custmer service for 6 weeks and couldnt take it anymore the amount of people fone in for they money back its unbeliveble sometime for laugh they will put you on speaker fone and be making funny faces i got told from marla thats my job just anser fone calls and if any one ask for refund just to tell em you have to speak to marla and then say she is not availble and she will call you then tell em i have to take another call and just hang up we are not allowed to help you for more than 10 miniues and every 4 weeks we have to change our names apart for marla and shanon so they can say the person you spoke to aint working with us anymore and you have to start all over again marla and shanon will annoy you as much as they can when it comes to refunds so watch out i dont think you will like what i am gona say now and i am sorry do you know direct lgv sell your courses to lgv traing companys and they have very old vehicles and instructors are so cheeky and dirty its a joke and they will fail you first test guranteed the direct lgv office in london its a very tiny small office with small sighn direct lgv on it check yourshelf on goggle map they got plenty of court cases pending for froud and scams go to your bank and tell them about it and they will give your money back if you push em and most banks cover you for froud any way once again im sorry if i upset you guys i had to let you know good luck
This company is very doddgy. I did my investigation and found out they are based in Crossharbour,at 11-16 tiller road, docklands business center.London.
The manager is a little ape named STEFAN POLEON and the director is called HARRIS MAMOOD, his little sister also works in the company and fakes her name ANN CANN but it's actually ANNAM Mamood.
I spoke to a previous employer who gave me all these details.

A guy called Osama Rahman used to work there he used to go by the name of TAF and he got caught doing fraud on peoples credit cards there by the directors and they done nothing. He has now opened his own scam LGV company call HIGHWAY LGV stay well clear as this guy as he is hooked on drugs and cocaine and the company is funded by a drug dealer. The police have been informed so good luck to him and i am sure he wil get what is coming to him.

You must ALL make a claim through the small claims court - it is very easy. Go to www.moneyclaim.gov.uk and follow the steps as a 'Claimant'.
The forms are very easy to fill in. Yes it will cost £125 - but you will get a judgement against them and be able to send in bailiffs to collect your cash.
The more judgements they have against them, the more their credit rating drops. This means that Visa, Mastercard etc will refuse to do business with them.
Also make sure you complain to your credit card company (or Visa debit) and ask for a 'Chargeback request'. Say that money has been taken without your permission or that you have not recieved any goods for the money you paid. The more 'Chargebacks' a company has against them, the harder it is for them to be able to accept credit cards.
Make a claim through the online court AND contact your card company...

I know through experience that this lot are the worst of the worst.
They are now are now trading as 1st Class Trucking. Other known business name is British School of Trucking. They haven't even covered their tracks very well as you can see on their website that the same pictures have been used - one lot of lorries are yellow and the other blue - good old Photoshop!
I have no idea how they have got their alleged DSA accreditation as only one of their instructors is actually qualified, even though they've got a list of about seven on the DSA website. (The DSA are investigating this).
Some of the instructors named don't even work for them anymore and are doing what they can to get their names removed as they don't want to be associated with these cowboys.

Why use a 3rd party when it can be quicker, cheaper and easier to go direct to independant providers in your area?. You also have control of where you undergo training. I have just finished paying for my training course, with direct LGV. since then I found this blog!
Although I did get to sit my theory tests after paying a £200 deposit,so now I don't know what to do do I give them the benefit of the doubt and wait and week or 2 to see if the book me on practical course, or try and claim money back on my debit card.
I did notice on there site, they said they could help you find funding/grants if you needed this, which they didn't do, I am currently looking for work (which is why I wanted to go ahead and do training course.)and I had to pay them from my benefit.

Hey guys. To anyone who has been fucked over by these bunch of con-artists. If you paid by Credit or debit card your bank has a duty to refund the money you paid. They have indemnity insurance for this sort of thing. If you write to your credit card and request a chargeback as per section 75 of the consumer credit act. It took barclaycard about 3-4 weeks to sort out the refund for me and i was also credited with interest charges. The whole directlgv fiasco has wasted 9 months of my life, but happily in about 7 hours i start my PCV training with a company in durham who i paid directly for the course and also paid 250 quid less than direct scumbags charge. Hope this helps guys. You might also want to go to trading standards and report your issues to the police also. I rang the london met police and i think if enough people do they will take notice.

i booked my course with dirict lgv in october 2009, i was pressured into buying a fast track to work with them and then my theory test appointment was pretty quick to follow. i passed my theory in november 2009 rang the booking office to inform them and then i was told it will take around 8 weeks for a practical training and test to come through. come end of january 2010 i heard nothing, i called them and got the shock of my life, i was informed that someone had called me on the 6th january and left me a message to call back and confirm dates that i could attend a course for end of february. no such message was left so these dates had been lost. on booking my next course i got a call asking me to send a copy of my licence. they had all details for booking the first training course but not the second, then i was asked about a cpc? whats that i said and i then rang direct lgv and was told i dont need to do one, complete lies, just not good costumer service, still not passed my practical 10 months later.

when i went with directlgv i was not aware of any of these problmes, i wish i knew then what i know now, i payed in full in the beggining of last year it took 2 months to get me on my theory test i was luck to get it becouse directlgv did not send the proper paperwork, it then took another 4 months to do my practical class2, i then asked for dates for my class1 and fast track, the fast track course the cancelled with out informing me it took 4 months to get that money back even though they say it should take 20 somthing days, im still wating to do my practical class1 and cpc ive now been waiting 9 months i ring them all the time trying to get dates only to be lies to and fobed off at every opertunity, they never ring or write or make any offort to resolve the situation, in one conversation on the phone they were laughing down the phone saying they have my money and they can do what they want with it and when, the only way forward i see is to take legal advice
We paid the full amount of £2,099 for a Back2Back Course. I turned up on the day to begin the course and was turned away as Direct LGV had not paid the Driving School for weeks-They have all my money but I shall be claiming it back via my Credit Card Company. Why is somebody not putting a stop to this scam!!"!!!!!!
Even I think inspite of going to any unauthorized company it's better to got o any driving school, atleast you will be satisfied with what you are learning.
LGV Training
After all my previous problems with them paying my Trainer, DirectLGV are now not paying for my Pass Protector. I have sent 8 emails demanding they pay - no response at all. They are worried by sites like this, as it might damage their reputation! WHAT REPUTATION?

Yes, Scammed by them....... they used John's school whom they do not pay.... will be raking them to court.... have opened up a page on facebook - take a look!!! I have posted comments on there but they have probably deleted them!! Look at Direct LGV bunch of scammers and leave comments.... I am one of you as well.just been robbed of 2498,back to back course 2199 and pass protection 299.instructor in sheffield didnt get paid.My training been cancelled.Then I found this reviews with shock.I am very very surpriced of comments since 2008 and they are still in bussiness????why police dont do anything???and banks keep paying backcharges???
I wish I had seen this before making one of the worst decisions possible to go with this bunch of criminals. They are nothing short of robbers. I paid £1499 back on the 1st of Sept 2011 and other than getting a DVD and a few books that cost very little I have had nothing but trouble. How they get people to work for them I just don't know. They have no idea of customer service and worse still tell you noting but lies. Today I turned up for my training (this took months of pushing by me to get organised) only to be advised that it was cancelled by DirectLGV as the training company had not paid. I'll be seeking legal advice as they do not respond to you the punter complaining. How I wish they were on my doorstep for a personal visit. We are a small training school in York we have trained clients previously for Direct, and they always paid late, this time they owe us over £1600, and will not pay or should I say cannot pay. we have been told by Harris Mamhood he cannot do a cheque cannot do direct payments or BACS says it all really they are going under. I am taking them to the cleaners. Please do not use them they will take your money and you will not be able to get a refund. Lets get them closed down send your complaints to Tower Hamlets Trading Standards who are investigating them. Also rogue Traders.

DirectLGV owe me £1850. they sent me a cheque that bounced, then have repeatedly said they are doing a BACS transfer that never happens.
They are making NO attempt to sort out this debt.
They are compulsive liars who will do everything they can to avoid paying out an agreed refund.
COmplaint registered with canyoutrustthem and the BBC. Solicitor informed.
Hear yesterday from a training school in London that Direct LGV went under a few weeks ago.
I have a credit breakdown from this company from expedia showing a new director Miss Khajia Samia Mahmood address is 73 Romford Road, Chigwell, Essex, IG7 4QS.
Get your ccjs to this lady as they will not pay. We have been phoning for 6 weeks now they will not speak to us. Also heard that Mr Mahmood has a mansion and lots of cars that where our money has gone.

I emailed that Anne yesterday who is Harris's sister Annan Mahmood but lies about her name. They have messed me about for 6 weeks re training fees for 2 people that we trained for them, they thanksed us for a good service and will not pay us. I personally think they have gone under, we had a call yesterday from John, and things are happening to this company thats all I can say I have been contacted by the BBC who are investigating them, along with the police, Rogue Traders and trading standards. I am making it my mission to get them closed down ASAP

Just heard everyone docklands is their real address they have a fake office at the address I said today.
Having read all of these blogs it seems as though I'm one of the lucky ones! I did manage to get my class C done with them but having phoned them on numerous occassions since passing my C test I've got no where in tryin to get any form of dates out of them for the C+E course or test. The unit at Herbet road is purely a locked lorry park. There is no office of any description there at all.

Tower gate trading standards confirmed that these scammers have gone under and that they have no money to pay out to anyone. I have asked that someone makes sure they never trade again under a different name but apparently its hard to stop them. Still waiting to hear from my bank if I can get any money back but not looking good sorry to say.
